This is actually a picture of a picture. When I first started painting it was during the pre digital era! So a lot of my portfolio is actually in print. Imagine that life before digital. Anyway this is a faux brick wall that I did in Greenville, NC it added a nice touch to the house. I really enjoyed the family that I painted it for. Sometimes it just amazes me what can be done with a little paint and some effort. This family was one of the many that have touched my lives while I have been doing this!

Visions
I love meeting with people and discussing their dreams. I love going home thinking and praying about it and then getting the idea or vision for the room. It never ceases to amaze me to watch a room transform. I like to go into a room, get my supplies ready, say a prayer, turn on my music and somewhere in all that I get lost. Meaning that time goes away, the stress goes away, the world somehow seems to disappear. It is just me, my Lord, and a brush. What an awesome time. I love what I do I love to watch it all unfold the process the journey of making someone's dream or vision become a reality. This nursery was done in Knightdale for a couple that has now become two of our closest friends. I loved painting this nursery and now the little angel is here and I am so thankful I could take part in making her nursery a place where she can rest and relax.
Relationships
I am so thankful that God has given this gift. I can't tell you how many wonderful people I have met through this work and how many wonderful relationships are a result of it. I really enjoy getting to meet people and creating new relationships. I will never forget this couple. What a joy to work for. by the end of the job they had made me feel like part of the family. I wanted to post the before picture just so you could see how much a mural changes the looks of a room or even just a small space.
Revisiting
A peaceful place

Although most of my portfolio is viewed in paper format... when I started this digital wasn't what we know it as todayI am thankful I can now share my work with this blog. One of my very favorite murals to do is always a baby's nursery or a children's room. There is just something magjcal about the expression on an expectant mom's face or the sweetness of a small child's face as they walk into their newly transformed room. It times like that when I feel like I understand part of my purpose. That very moment is why I do what I do. This image was done just above the crib in a nursery in Raleigh, NC
